Food & Wine 2019 Offers a Taste of Adventure

April 8, 2019
Pair some of your favorite Virginia food festival dishes with rides and attractions in the park.

The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival offers a taste of adventure like no other. In addition to the traditional food and wine pairings, allow us to propose a more exhilarating combo: food and coasters. Sure, there’s nothing quite like a cool Rene Barbier Mediterranean White with some delicious Loukoumades (available at the Mediterranean kiosk), but here at Busch Gardens we prefer an Escape from Pompeii chaser instead!

Start in Scotland and make your way through the world’s most delicious theme park, savoring culinary delights from around the world and enjoying our rides and coasters. Be sure to pick up a Food & Wine Festival Guide to make sure you don’t miss anything!

She Crab Soup with Loch Ness Monster

SHE-CRAB SOUP + LOCH NESS MONSTER

You may never find the Loch Ness Monster lurking in the Chesapeake Bay, but stop by the Virginia kiosk for a local favorite, She-Crab Soup, after double looping on our most historic roller coaster.

Bangers and Mash + Celtic Fyre

BANGERS WITH COLCANNON + CELTIC FYRE

Step into Ireland for a truly authentic experience. Enjoy the hearty Irish delicacy, bangers & mash, and stomp to the beat of one of Busch Gardens’ most popular shows, Celtic Fyre.

Taco Train

FRIED SHRIMP TACO + TRAIN

All aboard! Anyone remember the haunted train ride during Howl-O-Scream? Well, that might not be coming back, but the Fried Shrimp Taco is scary good nevertheless. Pop over to the Mexico kiosk and turn the heat up on a train ride around the park.

Tuna Poke with Lorikeets

TUNA POKE + LORIKEET GLEN

Aloha! Welcome to the most serene location in the park. Visit Lorikeet Glen, where our tropical birds reside, after a trip to paradise tasting our deliciously refreshing entrée, Tuna Poke, available only at the Hawaii kiosk.

Cheesecake + Griffon

BANANAS FOSTER CHEESECAKE + GRIFFON

Oh crêpe! Have you ever experienced the 205-foot, 90-degree drop on Griffon? Enjoy a heart-pounding cliffhanger aboard our famous blue coaster, then treat yourself with a victorious Bananas Foster Cheesecake at the French Quarter kiosk.

Churrasco + InvadR

CHURRASCO + INVADR

Are you up for a Viking-sized challenge? Test your bravery on our wooden roller coaster, InvadR , then head to the Brazil kiosk to eat like a Viking with a spicy sample of Churrasco grilled beef.

Sliders with Alpengeist

JERK CHICKEN SLIDERS + ALPENGEIST

Experience two polar opposite destinations. Pair the island flavors of the Jerk Chicken Sliders from the Jamaica kiosk with a chilling journey to escape Alpengeist, the Ghost of the Alps and one of the most insane coasters in the world.

Frozen drinks + Verbolten

BAHAMA MAMA + VERBOLTEN

An unexpected detour launches riders into the forbidden Black Forest that might leave one longing to unwind with a frozen tropical Bahama Mama at the Island Freeze kiosk.

Risotto with Italy Gardens

CREAMY MUSHROOM RISOTTO + ITALY GARDENS

After savoring a delicious Creamy Mushroom Risotto at the Italy kiosk, take a spin on the Flying Machine, Da Vinci’s Cradle, and the Battering Ram, then relax in the gardens with a special dessert for one or three (if you’re sharing).

Lettuce Wrap with Tempesto

LETTUCE WRAP + TEMPESTO

Wrap up a ride on the daring coaster, Tempesto, with a tofu Lettuce Wrap from the Japan kiosk. You’ll want something light after launching forward, backward and forward again, traveling at 63 mph and defying gravity.
