5 New Food and Wine Festival Favorites
We’re super excited to show you what we’ve been cooking up for Food & Wine 2019! While many of your old favorites are back and better than ever, we also hope you’ll save room for the culinary offerings at our brand new kiosks, including Garden to Glass, Herbal Infusion, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, and Sangria Garden. Busch Gardens Executive Chef Justin Watson has been hard at work since last year’s Food & Wine Festival dreaming up this year’s experience. When asked to pick a few favorite new dishes, his response was, “They’re all my babies and I don’t have a favorite.” Nevertheless, we got him to reveal five new items in particular that you won’t want to miss!
Sangria Flight
With four mouthwatering sangrias to choose from, we would never ask you to limit yourself to just one! With the sangria flight, you’ll get to try the traditional red, citrus moscato, strawberry rose, and frozen sangrias. You’re welcome.
Siopao
If dumplings are your jam, head over to the Philippines kiosk for some traditional siopao, or steamed pork buns. The accompanying sauce evokes the flavors of the Philippines, with soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
Creamy Mushroom Risotto
Our creamy mushroom risotto is finished right at the Italy kiosk, for a delicious experience enhanced with truffle oil, basil, pesto, and prosciutto.
Lavender Lemonade
With so much delicious food to try, you’ll want something refreshing and light to go with it. Enter the lavender lemonade, found at the Herbal Infusions kiosk. This cool summery drink combines lavender with lemon for a subtle flavor that is perfect for the warm weather.
Carne Asada Taco
¡Viva México! This classic Mexican dish features tender flank steak soaked in a citrus marinade, queso fresco, cilantro, and a dollop of guacamole, all wrapped in a soft corn tortilla.
