More about Carolee
Carolee attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and received a bachelor’s of fine arts in graphic design. After working professionally in graphic design for 14 years, she took time off to be with her children. She continued painting murals, pet portraits and custom paintings for clients.
After a cruise to the Caribbean in 2012, she began to expand her style of painting. While standing in the turquoise blue water of the ocean she found herself and the feeling of joy of island life around her. This inspiration lead to a new style of painting using colors and textures, creating an impressionistic and realistic piece. Carolee’s goal was to bring awareness to wildlife and to share the beauty of animals.
Carolee is a local Williamsburg artist and has been working Busch Gardens Williamsburg since July 2013. She got her start at the park doing demonstration paintings in Das Festhaus, which eventually turned into a permanent location in New France Village.
