10 Fun Holiday Date Night Ideas at Busch Gardens Christmas Town
The holidays are all about spending time with your loved ones, so why not grab your special someone and spend an evening under the glow of more than 10 million lights. Come experience all that Busch Gardens Williamsburg has to offer this holiday season together.
Take the Skyride from England
Start your evening with a ride on the Skyride from England to the North Pole (Oktoberfest). This romantic journey gives you a birds-eye view of our ten million twinkling lights. Another great view from above is on Nacht Tower.
Spend Time in the North Pole
There is plenty to do at the place Santa calls home: shows, shopping, rides and more. Marvel at O’ Tannenbaum with its dancing lights set to holiday music. Then, have a seat in the red bench nearby and get a photo together beneath the giant Christmas tree.
Head to Holiday Hills
It’s a winter wonderland in Festa Italia – grab your partner’s hand and take a stroll through Holiday Hills, then pose with Rudolph & Friends in Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland. Don’t forget to take advantage of the mistletoe under the front arch and steal a quick smooch.
See a Waterfall of Lights
Polar Pathway is the perfect place to take a selfie with your sweetheart. The breathtaking waterfalls, dazzling light display and smell of Christmas trees will preserve this Christmas Town memory for a lifetime.
Warm up in England
Next, grab a hot toddy or our signature hot chocolate from Cobblestone Ale & Spirits in England and warm up by the fire pit. Let the illuminating fire warm your faces as you relax and share quality time.
Smile with our Clydesdale Horses
Be sure to capture the experience of Christmas Town with a photo in Scotland. The Horse and Carriage photo opportunity is the perfect memento to remember this romantic evening. #RelationshipGoals
Grab a Bite to Eat
O’ Tators is a great place to stop and eat, and typically has less hustle and bustle than some of the other dining options. Get cozy in one of the heated seating areas as you grab a bite to eat (we recommend Annie Grogan’s stew in a bread bowl).
Bundle up for an Outdoor Show
Head over to France to see our ice show ‘Twas That Night starring world champion figure skater Elvis Stojko. If you really want to impress your date, look into getting reserved seating, so you can be front and center to view the performance.
A Trip Around the Park
Before you bid adieu, snuggle up with each other on the Christmas Town Express (New in 2018) as the conductor takes you on a journey around the park. Sing along to your favorite holiday songs on a 1.5-mile tour through themed holiday vignettes and two million Christmas lights.
One Last Sweet
As a final sweet treat on the way out, grab our homemade s’mores (graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallow goodness) to share.
We hope this is just one of many visits to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. If you enjoyed Christmas Town, we invite you both to come back and see what events are going on each season.
For the best deal that lets you visit again and again all year long, a Busch Gardens Membership will give you access to benefits, discounts and so much more. (Fun fact: add Water Country USA for just $2/month more for double the summer fun).
