Top 5 Best Bars to Visit at Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream in Virginia

October 11, 2018
Find the best BOOze bars at Howl-O-Scream for Halloween beverages.

We’ve often heard that our guests (ages 21 & older) need a little liquid courage before they are ready to brave the many haunts that occupy the park on Howl-O-Scream nights. If we are speaking your language right now, you also may want to check out the Scaredy Cat’s Guide to Howl-O-Scream. Just saying—we’ve been there. However, this particular blog isn’t about your fearless fails; it’s about cocktails.

After all of the Howl-O-screaming you will undoubtedly do, there ultimately comes the time when you need a beverage to quench your thirst.

If the perfect poison for you is BOOze (yes, we know we are punny), here are the five must-try spooky spots we recommend.

Jack's Nightcap Halloween bar at Busch Gardens in Virginia

5. Jack’s Nightcap

Near No Escape in the Germany village lies the bar named after one of the most memorable legends of Howl-O-Scream. Jack is back and he brings with him cocktails such as the Bloody Sangria and the Vampire Martini.

As you sip and savor your Halloween themed cocktail, watch the escape room action on one of the LED displays to find out who will solve the puzzle first.

Chaos Cocktails bar at Howl-O-Scream

4. Chaos Cocktails

Located in the new terror-tory Fools’ Court, Chaos Cocktails offers beverages fit for a king. Join the dance party as the DJ mixes electronic beats sure to get you out of your seat. This jester’s paradise features specialty beverages such as Jester’s Juice and the Green Demon cocktail. Beware though, cackling jokers are watching…and their joke is on you.

Restless Spirits bar at Halloween event Howl-O-Scream

3. Restless Spirits

Make your way past restless spirits in the new terror-tory, Garden of the Souls, to get to…well… Restless Spirits. Offering beverages sure to “liven up” the party, Restless Spirits is the “soul” location to find a frozen beverage among our themed bars.

Check out the nearby DJ on San Marco Theatre stage before making your way toward Oktoberfest.

Last Call: XX Halloween bar for 20th anniversary of Howl-O-Scream

2. Last Call: XX

Located in front of Das Festhaus, Last Call: XX offers a wide variety of beers, wines and specialty beverages. Grab a Last Call Sangria or Jack Is Back cocktail in time for the 5:45PM Haunting Hour and you have a front row view when the scares are unleashed for the night.

Experience five haunted houses nearby including an exclusive new haunt for 2018, The Vault: XX, featuring only the best scares from the past 20 years.

Inoculation Station and the Control Lab at Busch Gardens Halloween event

1. Inoculation Station & Control Bar

An experience unlike any other, this bar is #1 for a reason. To start, it offers some of the most popular drinks such as the returning Scarlett’s Potion and the gelatin syringe served by our iconic nurses.

New for 2018 however, this BOOze bar is paired with a rather twisted concept. For a small fee, a mad scientist gives you the power to initiate scares in one of five locations throughout the park. LED displays line the bar showing live footage in the mazes, and with the push of your button, an unlucky guest of your choosing will feel your wrath. For the first time ever you decide the scares, so be sure to stop by and join in the fun.

Event offerings are subject to change and/or cancellation without notice. Must be 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Proof of age with valid ID required.
