What is Busch Gardens Mardi Gras special event?

Guests will have guests indulging in the New Orleans spirit as Busch Gardens lets the good times roll with this ALL-NEW limited capacity special event. Visitors will be transported to where the “Big Easy” meets big thrills as they explore eight decorated villages filled with mouthwatering Cajun food, cocktails, and immersive live entertainment and music. Experience iconic roller coasters and attractions, including Sesame Street® Forest of Fun™ will also be available for guests to enjoy. Mardi Gras will be offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Jan. 29 – Feb. 28 and Presidents' Day (Monday, February 15). Reservations are required and will be available soon, and admission is included for Membership, Annual Pass and Fun Card holders.

NEW! Entertainment – Mardi Gras entertainment is always colorful and dazzling, and the park will capture that carnival atmosphere with street entertainment including a New Orleans Jazz Band, interactive drum band, stilt walkers, comedic jugglers and more.

 

NEW! Culinary and Beverages - a traditional carnival celebration is not complete without good eats and libations. Guests can start the party with classic NOLA fare, like Cajun sausage and grits and Gumbo, then unwind with a Hurricane cocktail or specialty beer from one of the park’s winter kegs. And no Mardi Gras party would be complete without a taste of popular sweet treats like hot and fresh beignets or the park’s unique take on the traditional king cake.

 

NEW! Kid Activities – a park-wide masquerade scavenger hunt, activities where kids can decorate their own mask to take home and more surprises just for the little ones.

No, the experience will be the same for the day and night sessions.

Is Busch Gardens Mardi Gras kid-friendly?

Absolutely! Our youngest guests are encouraged to participate in the park-wide masquerade hunt, enjoy several kid attractions and more.

Face Covering Policy: Please note that all guests 2 years of age and older must wear an approved face covering while in the park. Any forms of a costumed face mask or covering are not permitted. Review approved face coverings and important safety guidelines here.

What are the hours of the event?

Fridays: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

How much is parking?

Unless already included with your active Membership, Annual Pass, Military Pass, Friends & Family Pass, parking for this special event is $25.

What do I need to bring with me to access the park?

A reservation is required for all visitors. Guests will need to bring their original ticket/Membership/Annual Pass/ Fun Card/Preschool Pass/Friends and Family Pass/Military Pass, their reservation confirmation and their photo ID for entry.

How do I enter the park

All guests will enter through the toll plaza, including Platinum & Premier Memberships and Platinum Annual Passes, and will be directed towards the appropriate parking lot for special event entry.

What villages will be open for the Busch Gardens Mardi Gras special event?

The following villages will be open for guests to enjoy: England, Scotland, Ireland, France, New France, Germany, Oktoberfest and Sesame Street Forest of Fun.

Are previously purchased All-Season Dine, Quick Queue, Stein Club & Pint Club products valid at Busch Gardens Mardi Gras?

All-Season Dine: Yes, All Season Dines will be valid for the 2021 season at participating locations. The park will honor previously purchased 2020 All Season Dine plans throughout 2021, but will NOT sell new 2021 plans.

 

Quick Queue: All Quick Queue purchased January – July 2020 will be valid for use starting with this limited-capacity event. However, to get the best value of your Quick Queue, we recommend using it during a visit when you have more coasters/attractions to choose from.

*Platinum Memberships that receive the Member Reward of a one-time, one-ride Quick Queue per visit will be able to utilize this reward


Stein & Pint Club: The Stein & Pint Club programs will officially kick off in March 2021 and all previously purchased 2020 Stein & Pint Club memberships will be honored.

Will the Pet Kennels be available during the event

Yes, the Pet Kennels will be open during Busch Gardens Mardi Gras.

Will wheelchair or stroller rentals available to rent?

Yes wheelchair and strollers are available to rent online before your visit or when you arrive at the park. Please visit our Welcome Center in England.

Can I use my previously purchased refillable souvenir cup?

Yes, however due to our health and safety protocols, filling the bottle from the self-serve drink dispenser is not permitted. A disposable cup will be available to dispense refills.

Will the Ride Accessibility Program (RAP) still be honored?

Yes, the Ride Accessibility Program will be available during Busch Gardens Mardi Gras.
