A Sesame Street® Halloween Event

Celebrate not-too-spooky daytime family fun at Busch Gardens’ Halloween Spooktacular in the Sesame Street® Forest of Fun™. On Saturdays & Sundays from Sept. 24 - Oct. 29, kids (ages nine and under) are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy our ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail in the Wild Reserve. Plus, join in the fun with the Countdown to Halloween Show, dance parties, a festive hay maze and a costume parade alongside favorite Sesame Street friends. New themes every weekend, unique activities and special photo opportunities offer a different experience with every visit.

The ALL-NEW Trick-Or-Treat Trail opens at 11 AM on Saturdays & Sundays.

Countdown to Halloween Weekend

Join Count von Count as he kicks off the first weekend of Halloween Spooktacular at Busch Gardens! Activities include the ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail, special Halloween arts and crafts, and a costume dance party with some of your favorite Sesame Street® friends and more!

Funny Bones Weekend

Zoe & Murray are ready for the Halloween season dressed in their favorite skeleton costumes. Kids will enjoy Halloween crafts, dance parties with Zoe & Murray, special photo opportunities, and searching high & low for hidden skeletons in the hay maze.

Clowning Around Weekend

Come clown around with Cookie Monster and Grover in your favorite Halloween costume. Shimmy and shake at the dance parties, enjoy arts and crafts, and search for hidden friendly monsters in the hay maze. Plus, catch a showing of the family ever-favorite Countdown to Halloween show!

Pirate Party Weekend

Ahoy, mateys! Arrrgh you ready for a pirate party with your Sesame Street friends? Join Bert and Ernie in your best costume as you dance, explore the hay maze and enjoy arts and crafts. Be on the lookout for candy treasures at ten trick-or-treating stations in the ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail!

Super Grover Weekend

Super Grover is ready to take flight with fun activities all weekend long. Wear your favorite super hero cape and dance all around with your favorite furry blue hero, enjoy special arts and crafts unique to this weekend, and search for hidden ghosts in the hay maze.

Halloween Weekend

Celebrate Halloween Weekend with your Sesame Street friends and have a not-too-spooky good time! Spend the last weekend of Halloween Spooktacular trick-or-treating your way through the ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail. Get groovy at the dance party and showcase your costume at the parade. The fun continues with special photo opportunities, art and crafts and making your way through the hay maze.

ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail

Kids (under the age of nine) can embark on the ALL-NEW Trick-or-Treat Trail throughout the Wild Reserve, uncovering a sweet treat around every turn. Join us for an exciting candy-filled quest making this our sweetest Halloween yet!

Countdown to Halloween Show

Count von Count goes on a journey on his favorite night of the year – Halloween! Learning the importance of friendship, he leaves his castle in search of his old friends, meeting new friends along the way and learning how much he is admired by all. Shows throughout the day located at Elmo’s Castle in Sesame Street® Forest of Fun™ on Saturdays & Sundays, Sept. 23 - Oct. 29.

Costume Parade

Kids are invited to participate in a costume parade alongside their favorite Sesame Street friends.

Hay Maze

Take your little ghouls and goblins on a fun festive adventure through our family-friendly hay maze.

Dance Parties

Dance, sing, and Monster Mash along to your favorite Halloween tunes with The Count, Elmo and more of your furry friends at this interactive Spooktacular dance party!

Scavenger Hunt

Explore the park with a themed scavenger hunt! Use the clue sheet to find all the hidden clues around the park. Once you have successfully completed your search, turn in your clue sheet to redeem a special prize. Guests can purchase their Scavenger Hunt Clue Sheet at Abby Cadabby’s Treasure Trove, Toys O’ The Leprechaun, Emporium Shop of Horrors, Pompeii, Griffon and Tempesto Gifts.

Know Before You Go

There are two events during this fall season.
Busch Gardens Halloween Spooktacular is geared towards children under 9 and happens during the day,
while Howl-O-Scream is meant for an older audience and begins at 6:00 PM.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind this halloween.

Halloween Décor

Our Fall Decor includes Halloween decorations, which may have spooky elements.

Masks & Props

If your child's costume has a mask or a prop, we kindly ask you to leave those at home.

Kids Play Areas

Land of the Dragons and Sesame Street Forests of Fun will close at 5 p.m.

Nighttime Scares

Howl-O-Scream begins at 6 pm with Scare actors, dim lighting, fog & other frights.

Intended for a Mature Audience
This fall, frights await with the return of the park's adult-focused signature Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream. Included with park admission, guests can traverse through all-new haunted house experiences, scare zones and more.
