Know Before You Go
There are two Halloween events during the fall season. The Count's Spooktacular is geared toward children under 9 and happens during the day, while Howl-O-Scream® is meant for an older audience and begins at 6 p.m. Here are a few tips to keep in mind this Halloween.
Our fall décor includes Halloween decorations, which may have spooky elements.
Masks & Props
If your child’s costume has a mask or prop, we ask for you to kindly leave those at home.
Kid Play Areas
Land of the Dragons® and Sesame Street® Forest of Fun™ will close at 5 p.m.
Be aware -- at 6 p.m. Howl-O-Scream begins and our scare actors, dim lighting and fog come out.
Stop by these kid-friendly shops to get a special treat for your little one.

How to Celebrate Halloween with Kids
With family-friendly rides, themed play areas, animal friends and more, there are plenty of things to do with kids this fall. Get ready to move to the music with dance parties and a special Halloween kid’s show. Then, participate in kid-friendly activities like trick-or-treating around the park and marching in our Spooktacular parade.
Please be aware that some of our Halloween shows are not suitable for children and parental discretion is advised. Additionally, some haunted houses may open at 5:30 p.m.
Whether a superhero, princess or something created from their own imagination, children 9 years old and younger are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes for this Halloween event.
Parade & Dance Parties
You won’t want to miss The Count’s Countdown to Halloween kids’ show, dance parties and a parade (from Elmo’s Castle to the Globe Theatre) at the end of the day before the haunts start in the evening.
Sesame Street Friends
See your child’s face light up as they explore play areas, kid-friendly rides and much more. They can even meet their favorite Sesame Street friends and take a picture with them at 1-2-3 Smile with Me!
Smiling faces always look better in family photos, so we do ask that any masks and props are left at home. We offer plenty of options to jazz up your child’s costume with face painting, glow items, and more at the park.
