Behind-The-Scenes of Spark presented by Coca-Cola®

Spark presented by Coca-Cola®, is the new laser-light spectacular at Busch Gardens that is unlike anything seen before at the park. Backed by a soundtrack filled with electronic dance music (EDM), this show combines dancing lasers, animation and pyro effects with a stage where YOU get to be part of the action.

Behind-the-Scenes: Inspiration

Unlike your typical sit-down-and-watch show, the Busch Gardens Entertainment team envisioned a lively music festival atmosphere to top off each night of this year’s Summer Nights event. In an effort to get the audience up and moving, a mix between Top 40 and old school musical hits were selected and given an original EDM remix exclusively for Spark.

With the music in place, the lasers and pyro effects were created and synced to the music. With seven lasers in total, five on top of the stage and two focused on creating the center stage graphics, these lasers dance above the audience’s heads in unison to the music.

If the lasers, effects and music aren’t enough to get you out of your seat—the party starters will surely do so. Individual costume designs inspired by each of the performers highlight their free-spirited personalities. With vibrant glasses, glowing details, metallic fabrics and light-up shoes, you’re sure to notice the party starters as they dance the night away.

The same colors, shapes and textures used in costuming are pulled into the stage design, livening Royal Palace Theatre with a whole new look and pulling all of the show elements together.
