Embark on a sky-high Serengeti adventure as you soar above the Serengeti Plain and marvel at the amazing animals that call Busch Gardens Tampa Bay home. As you continue your journey, venture into the Stanleyville area, catching glimpses of thrilling rides like Kumba, Congo River Rapids and the family-favorite Stanley Falls Flume. Relax on this iconic ride suspended 50 feet above the bustling excitement of the park.

SkyRide FAQs

What are the operating hours for the SkyRide?

Weather permitting, the Busch Gardens SkyRide will operate from park opening and close at dusk. 

What is the height requirement for the SkyRide?

There is no height requirement although guests under 56” are not allowed to ride alone and must be accompanied by a responsible person (supervising companion) over 56” and at least 14 years of age.

How many guests are allowed in one cable car on the SkyRide?

One cable car is not allowed to have more than three (3) guests over 56”.

Will guests be able to do a round trip aboard the SkyRide?

Guests will pay $5 per person for one ride, Pass members, Fun Card holders, and Preschool pass holders can ride free. One ride is from Stanleyville station to the Cheetah Hunt Plaza or from the Cheetah Hunt Plaza station to the Stanleyville station.

Where can I find information for guests with disabilities and accessibility guidelines for the SkyRide?

We offer an online Accessibility Guide for guest convenience and planning prior to their visit. If you are in the park, you can visit Guest Services, just beyond the entrance to the park.

Where can I buy a SkyRide ticket?

Tickets to the Busch Gardens Tampa SkyRide may only be purchased at each boarding station, one in Cheetah Hunt Plaza or the station in Stanleyville.

Will SkyRide tickets be available for purchase online or through the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay app?

Tickets for the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay SkyRide may only be purchased at each loading station. One in the Cheetah Hunt Plaza or at the Stanleyville station.

Will guests be able to purchase multiple one-time rides for SkyRide?

Guests will not be able to purchase multiple one-time rides. One-time rides will need to be purchased separately prior to boarding.

Will I be able to use my Pass Member guest tickets at the Busch Gardens SkyRide?

Busch Gardens Pass Members will not be able to use their guest tickets at the SkyRide.

Will I be able to use my Busch Bucks to purchase a one-time ride on the SkyRide?

Busch Gardens Tampa Busch Bucks will not be accepted at the SkyRide.

Will there be a charge for the Serengeti Express or the parking lot tram?

There is no charge to ride the Serengeti Express Train, one of the best ways to take in the breathtaking beauty of Busch Garden’s Serengeti Plain. There is also no charge for the parking lot trams.

What happens if I have purchased a ticket for the Busch Gardens SkyRide and it is not running due to the weather?

As with all the rides at Busch Gardens, if the SkyRide is not running due to inclement wind and/or weather and does not reopen, the company’s Weather-or-Not assurance policy will allow guests to request a readmit or request a refund at Guest Relations or via email.

Do Pass Members ride for free?

Yes, each guest that has a valid Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Pass, Preschool Card or Fun Card will be able to ride the SkyRide for free. Pass Members will need to present their valid pass to the ride attendant at the ride entrance.

Accessibility
