I’ve already visited or am writing a general tourism article, I just need your press kit or basic b-roll. Is there a site I can download from?

Please email [email protected] and we can provide an electronic press kit. Please be sure to include outlet, topic or story angle, and expected publish dates in your email.

I want to video while visiting, what are the guidelines?

Media can film with hand-held devices like smartphones or DSLR cameras. No sticks, external lighting equipment, booms, audio recording equipment, etc. is allowed without prior approval. Any media looking for special or specific filming access will need to send pitch details to [email protected].

 

We encourage all visitors to chronicle your day at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island. There are photo and video restricted areas on rides, some animal interactions, and during shows. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has independent contracts, licenses, and copyright approvals that in most cases require significant lead time for approvals. Including but not limited to Sesame Street® Safari of Fun, ice shows in the Moroccan Palace, guests artists during Real Music, Real Masters, Food & Wine Festival, etc, and any show with covers of popular music (including shows offered at Dragon Fire Grill and Coke Stage at Festival Field). Busch Gardens can not grant copyright approvals for social media platforms.

Commercial photography and videography is strictly prohibited.

Are hands free cameras, harnesses and extensions allowed?

Please note that Selfie Sticks or any hand-held extension poles for mobile devices are not permitted on any ride.

The following conditions must be met for any hands free cameras/camera harnesses to be permitted on a ride:.. 

  • Chest-mounted and wrist-mounted harnesses are allowed.
  • Camera must be secured by a 3-point or more harness, over the riders shoulders and around the torso, that is snapped or buckled closed and cannot be detached by bumping. 
  • Cameras with a case must be tightly snapped closed and the case must be securely attached to the harness with a screw-type pin or similar device. Similarly, an uncased camera can be directly and securely attached to the harness with a screw-type pin or similar device.
  • Please see ride attendant for ride-specific procedures.

I want to come to cover an event, what do I do?

In most cases, event coverage will fall within the Media Admissions Policy. Exceptions include concerts and Howl-O-Scream. If you are media on-assignment interested in covering an artist appearing at Busch Gardens, please email [email protected]. Otherwise, please request tickets through the media admissions policy above.

I want to cover an event that is being hosted at Busch Gardens, but isn’t a Busch Gardens event, what do I do?

Busch Gardens hosts hundreds of event per year on a contract basis. Please reach out to the affiliated organization for additional information on how to gain access to cover their event. Busch Gardens can not grant access or approve access to hosted events.
