Cheers to the Weekend and Olga Tañón!
March 15, 2018This weekend, Busch Gardens welcomes Latin pop powerhouse Olga Tañón. Originating from the beautiful Puerto Rico, Olga Tañón has earned two Grammys, three Latin Grammys, and 29 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. Olga’s effortless fusion of tropical music, Latin inspirations and catching pop tune will make you want to stand up and dance along.
While we can’t wait to sing and dance with Olga this weekend, she’s not the only Latin flare at the Food & Wine Festival! Here are a few of my favorites from some of our food cabins.
Mango Shrimp Ceviche from Gourmet Lodge
You’ve probably had ceviche before, but have you ever had it with mangos!? I love how light yet tasty this dish is! A sweet and spicy marinade ties it all together to bring you the perfect tapa.
NEW! Tostones Rellenos de Pollo from Comfort Kitchen
My mouth is watering just thinking about these! Tostones are one of the sixteen new menu items this year at Food & Wine. They’re fried plantain cups with stewed chicken, and here’s a tip—order two because you’ll be wanting seconds once you try them!
NEW! Guava Empanada from Savory Tavern
If you’re anything like me, you need to finish off with something sweet after all the delicious, savory food! The guava empanada is the perfect solution to that. I’m not sure who invented the marriage of guava and cream cheese, but I’d like to personally thank them.
The best way to enjoy all these flavors is with a sampler lanyard! And if you’re an Olga fan, I highly recommend springing for the VIP seating! We hope you’ll join us this Saturday at Food & Wine!
¡Salud!
