Special Programmes
Busch Gardens Williamsburg provides all sorts of avenues for fun and learning. Educational programmes, Scout Days, Passport Member events and private functions attract thousands of guests each year. Various trained cast members lead our successful programmes, overseeing the details from start to finish.
There is a wealth of hands-on educational opportunities throughout Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Animals Abound allows children to encounter many exotic and fascinating animals and encourages participants to take an active role in protecting their environment. From birds of prey and wolves, to reptiles and psittacines, animals are found on all continents and are an integral part of our ecosystem. By participating in the Conservation Counts programme, students will visit animal habitats and learn how these animals fit into their environment. Students also can experience physics to the extreme. Students participating in X-treme Physics will scream, twist and turn while understanding the thrill of rides at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. In addition to the self-guided programme, physics comes alive with the new interactive show, Physics F/X. Hosted by renowned physics professor, Dr. David Wright, Tidewater Community College, this dynamic, high-energy show provides the pinnacle of learning for students.
Scout Days teach Scouts the merits of nature, safety and fun. Scout Environmental Encounter invites scouts to participate in the park's self-guided programme, Conservation Counts. Animal experts from Busch Gardens Williamsburg will be available to guide scouts through their animal encounters.
